It is two hour’s drive from Nadi Airport, and don’t be scared by the access road, my 2WD rental car had no problems getting there. Be warned, some websites promise a free transfer to the Resort, however, this is no longer offered.
I was upgraded to the Wellington Suit, with its dark wooden furniture and monogrammed linens this Stateroom made me feel like an Island princess. There was a carved wooden desk where I set up my laptop on, a king sized sleigh bed, kitchenette and tiled bathroom. Talking to the other guests, their rooms were as clean and spacious as mine.
The white sandy beach seemed very exclusive compared to the busy Nataloda beach. The kayaks and snorkelling gear were ready to go, and the snorkelling is ok, nothing like you would see around the outer islands, which is to be expected. The pool area is stunning, perfect for lounging around, and Joanna was always ready to bring me whatever I wanted.
The food was excellent, and the menu changed every night. I really appreciated the wine list with its selection of New Zealand and Australian wines. If you want something more fast-foodish you can wander down the beach to Crusoe’s Retreat. Here you can also have a rowdy night out, with limbo competitions and frog racing nights. A visit to the local village for dinner is also highly recommended.
